If privacy matters when you rent this house, beware. The owner comes and goes from the property every day. The furniture is old, and the house smells musty. We were leaving for the airport at 5 a.m., and the day before I asked him to leave the key in the mailbox. He refused and said he’d be there at 5 a.m. It felt very strange.

We felt intimidated and watched the whole time. The owner kept walking through the house while we were there, which made his presence very uncomfortable. He’d been very attentive when we first arrived, but during the stay he was constantly among us. The photos of the outdoor areas on the website don’t match reality at all. Those areas were neglected. Some rooms also didn’t have towels in the bathrooms, so we had to use our own. When we left, the owner then asked us for towels that had never been provided. I found it irresponsible and unethical to insist on something he knew was missing. If you rent this place, I recommend photographing everything that’s there when you arrive, as we did, so you have proof. That way you can show what you were given if he claims you took something you didn’t.

The owner was friendly and attentive, and I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Tenerife who wants a peaceful stay in a dreamlike setting. It’s a beautiful, secluded spot that still feels close to home on the island. We had a delightful few days there, and make sure to take a look at their wonderful bonsai collection.

I’m very unhappy with this stay. The house is nice, but the outside is neglected. One room wasn’t supplied with towels, and at the end of our stay the host accused us of stealing them. The whole experience was very unpleasant.

A spacious house in a rustic, colonial style, with a good location and connections. It’s very well equipped with both small and large appliances. The owner was friendly, available, and discreet.
