Finca El Trazo

A traditional old house, and the garden is wonderful.

We had a wonderful few days here as a family. The house is welcoming and feels like home straight away. I could lose myself in the magnificent garden, with its shady spots, fruit trees, tropical plants, and little ponds. The location works perfectly for exploring the north of the island, just 25 minutes from the capital. Eduardo, the landlord, is great to chat with about food, island life, art, and music.

Edu was wonderful at looking after us, sharing tips and information about what to see and do before and during our stay, and was incredibly available whenever we needed help. We spent eight days here as a couple with our three children, and we’re so glad we chose Casa Finca el Trazo. It’s a great base for North Tenerife, with nearly everything around 15-20 minutes away: Santa Cruz, Puerto de la Cruz, La Orotava, La Laguna, Loro Parque, Garachico, San Andrés, Playa de las Teresitas, Senderos de los Sentidos Anaga, and Siam Park. There are countless places to eat too, from guachinches and areperas to restaurants and breweries. The house made it easy to explore, get around, and enjoy typical Canarian food. We’d return in a heartbeat to enjoy the Canary Islands and Casa Finca el Trazo again. Thanks for everything, Edu, and keep up the great work with the project!

A friendly welcome and a traditional-style house full of charm, with a garden to enjoy. It’s near the northern airport and La Laguna, and makes a lovely place to stay with family or friends, away from the noisy mass tourism in the south.
