Finca La Jaraca

There are beautiful forest paths nearby, and the owners are friendly and ready to help. The kids got to feed the chickens and ducks in the yard and collect eggs, and we could also hire a horse for rides around the area for the little ones. Breakfast is optional, simple, homemade, and delicious, in an unbeatable setting. We were three mothers with four children aged 4 to 8, and had a wonderful time. The place is beautiful, and though the cottage is small, it’s immaculate, quiet, and nicely decorated. The beds are very comfortable, the kitchenette has the basics, and there’s Wi-Fi, a comfy sofa, and lovely bedspreads. I only wish I’d stayed more than one night. Thanks for everything, guys. I definitely plan to come back, 100% recommended!

They didn’t let us into the apartments until 6 pm, and while we were using the party space the owners kept walking through to get ready for an event the next day. It felt chaotic. We were told that booking the party area and apartments for the night would give us the whole place, and that a live band was fine. But they had also booked another area for a separate celebration, with a small children’s birthday party divided from us only by a plastic awning. Of course, the band bothered them. For what they charge, they shouldn’t book multiple celebrations at once. There was no privacy, as the owners live there, and the place doesn’t have the facilities to match the price: just tables and chairs, a broken refrigerator, and a freezer packed with ice for the next day’s event. They try to squeeze too much out of the place, with overlapping events and customers treated like cattle. Greed is their downfall. I don’t recommend it.

The owners kept walking around the area we’d rented, so there was no privacy at all. We’d traveled from Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and booked the place for a birthday with 10 people. During our barbecue, the dogs were loose. Then at 9:00 PM, while we were eating dinner, one of the owners came over to ask if we’d be much longer so they could finish and clean up. We said we were still eating, and they rudely told us their window was right next to the grill, where they relax. That isn’t our problem. We’d paid and had the right to enjoy the facilities. Nobody mentioned a time limit or any issue before we paid, but suddenly at dinner we were told it was late and we had to stick to a schedule, just because. It was a terrible experience. I don’t recommend this place and won’t be back.

A great spot for celebrations, with several different areas and settings, private parking, and plenty of facilities: barbecues, restrooms, lounge chairs, and a pool table. There are animals too, including chickens, rabbits, and a horse, and you can hike some of the local trails. Highly recommended.
