Being on a farm made the stay feel different in a good way. We enjoyed seeing the owners’ peacocks, horses and other pets, and Davide gave us a really warm welcome. The yurt was spotless, the bed was comfy, and the valley views were lovely. There’s parking, a basic little kitchen to use, and Tafalla’s bars and restaurants are an easy 10-minute walk away. The toilets are eco-toilets; we paid extra for the eco-toilet and bath in the yurt. We’d seen very mixed reviews and weren’t sure what to expect, but we were happy with our stay. It’s still camping, or glamping, on a farm, so you give up a few home comforts for the experience. You can hear the highway, though it wasn’t nearly as bad as some reviews made it sound. Earplugs help. We visited in July during 40C heat, and the yurt got hot in the daytime, but cooled off by night and we slept comfortably. A unique stay that we’d recommend. Just plan for the weather and bring whatever you need to stay comfortable.

The owner was friendly and did try to help, but it was expensive for what we got. We came at the wrong time of year and in the wrong circumstances. Maybe it would suit young families in summer. There was no heating apart from an oil heater with a really dangerous smell, and having to cross the garden in the dark to reach the eco-toilet when it was 1 degree C was horrendous.

Loved the horses around the farm and the service from our host. It’s a lovely, unusual spot for a few days away from the cities. We’d happily come back anytime. Thank you!

We only managed to stay one night because of our schedule, but it was a magical place to properly switch off. The pool was a lifesaver during the heat wave, and the hosts were so friendly and pointed us toward several places. The night was perfect, cool enough that we needed the sheets over us. Pay attention to the message they send before arriving: put Tafalla Health Center in your GPS and follow the route it gives you, even though the way looks like a path you could walk. We didn’t listen, and the arrival turned into an experience we’ll remember and laugh about.
