There’s loads of parking, and the airport is about a 17-minute drive away. We also enjoyed the pool and the good quality BBQ, and there are plenty of sun loungers. For a bigger bag of charcoal, try a larger store. The villa is spacious, clean and well equipped, with four bedrooms and three bathrooms, including an ensuite. There were some useful leftovers from previous guests, like condiments, plus welcome essentials including water and milk. The tables extend, and there are pool toys too. The alarm is simple to use with one button and a key fob. We’ve stayed in Costa Teguise about 15 times, but this was our first villa, booked through Jet2. Some traffic noise comes through during weekday peak times, especially in villas on the village edge. We got used to it within an hour, and it didn’t spoil the holiday. The villa is close to the shipwreck and water plant, but that didn’t bother us and is just part of the area. Jet2 included a car through Avis, but we also hired a second one separately. There was some confusion with the included car that led to an extra insurance payment, which we’ll sort out with J2 when we get home. Each person had to fill out one form for the tourist requirements, and the forms were photographed and entered into the management company’s system. A few small things could be better, though none spoilt our stay. We couldn’t find a welcome book explaining where to put the bins or what to do on the last day, such as stripping the beds. The cooking knives were a bit blunt, but that was easy to sort out. The safe is small, so we used it just for important documents. Some bedroom sockets are away from the beds, so bring a 2-3m extension if you need to plug in medical equipment or want your phone beside you in bed. Broadband is 10-20mb, which was fine for most things. An outdoor shower would be nice, though there’s a walk-in shower and toilet on the ground floor, close to the basement twin bedroom. We highly recommend the village. Enjoy!

Close to the local Lidl and the airport, and we’d happily stay at Las Caletas again. The villa felt like a home from home, with a pool and a high standard throughout. It was clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully equipped, including an iron, hair dryer, washing machine, and dishwasher. The games room in the basement had things for both adults and children.

The villa’s location comes with a couple of things to be aware of. It overlooks the port and the power plant, though the prevailing wind usually carries everything away from the villa. Wind can blow sand into the pool and onto the patio, as I’ve found at every place I’ve stayed in Lanzarote. It’s near the main road into CT, but we live in a busy city and didn’t find it noisy, despite what some other reviews say. Parking was easy. We only went into Costa Teguise once for the beach because we had a hire car and wanted to show the kids as much of the island as possible. We’ve just come back from a lovely week in Villa Magenta. The villa has three double or twin rooms, all with plenty of wardrobe space, and one has a huge ensuite. The pool is bigger than most in the complex, so takes longer to warm up, but it’s great for swimming rather than just splashing around. We went in a very windy April, so it may be warmer in summer. There was masses of space, but we spent most mealtimes and evenings on the terrace and barely used the living and dining room. The small laundry and drying area was handy for washing swimwear and drying it overnight. Pool and bathroom towels were provided. Downstairs there are more sofas, a play area with toys, and a ping-pong table. The villa felt secure, with an easy alarm on a key fob and a safe in the main bedroom. The kitchen was sparkling clean and well organised, with enough utensils to cook dinners for our family of four. We did miss having a silicone spatula for the frying pans. The pool towels were provided, and the little laundry area worked well for a quick wash and overnight drying of swim things. Before we arrived, the staff got in touch through the booking email and sent helpful directions to the villa and information about where to get the keys. Eurospar is about a 10-minute walk or 3 minutes by car, with a fresh fish counter, bakery, and plenty of drinks and other supplies. The bins are down the road towards the coast. Recycling includes plastics, tins, card, paper, and glass. Put them in a bag and sort them at the bins; non-recyclable rubbish goes in the separate container. Casa Tomas is a lovely little traditional seaside restaurant about a 10-minute walk down the road by the nearest seafront. The Canarian specialities were beautifully cooked, and at under 30EUR per person including a bottle of wine, it was a bargain.

We stayed at Villa Jaspe 11 over Christmas and couldn’t have been happier. Walking in gave us that wow factor, and there were Christmas decorations waiting for us. The villa was immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We had a lovely BBQ, and there’s a supermarket within walking distance. The pool is a good size, though the water is very cold. We braved it on Christmas Day and warmed up soon enough once we were in. The keys were in a secure box outside the main gate, opened with a pin, and the alarm was easy to use. We emailed the team to ask for a later checkout, and they arranged it quickly and without fuss. Email replies were always prompt, and the whole process felt professional. There were lots of taxis outside the airport, and ours to the villa cost €20. A ride to The Square was €4-5, or you could walk there in about 45 minutes. We can’t wait to come back next Christmas. Many thanks!

The downstairs games room was a nice surprise, and all the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Supplies for using the washing machine and dishwasher were provided, as were toiletries in every bathroom. The villa is lovely, but the pool stays a bit cold because it’s always in the shade and isn’t heated. A few things need attention: there are no markings on the oven or hob, so you have to guess what the dials will do; the washing machine only works when it feels like it; the WiFi only works in the living room; and the bedroom TV doesn’t seem to get any channels.
