Hostal Talavera

The staff were friendly, and the private room was small but comfortable. It was also reasonably priced and conveniently located for Badajoz Airport.

Everything was clean, and the room was good for the price. My stay was short, but the staff were kind.

The bathroom could use a radiator for people who get cold easily. My room itself was clean and fine, and the receptionist was really nice, to be honest. The rooms aren't bad, but the shower felt cramped, even though I'm not that big. I also thought there was a bit too little toilet paper.

For €44, we found this hostel just a few minutes away on the map after seeing how expensive the hotels in Badajoz were, even in July. Our room had two comfortable beds, a shower, air conditioning, a television, a wardrobe with enough room for our clothes, and plenty of space to move around. The room worked perfectly for what we needed. The man who checked us in was very friendly and welcoming. Just check the reception hours carefully: it opens at 11:00 in the morning, closes at midday, then opens again in the evening until 23:00. Our room faced the street, but that wasn't a problem. Traffic drops a lot at night because there's a highway nearby that most cars use. The town has a Carrefour Express, and there's a bar/restaurant right across from the hostel. We had breakfast there, and it also serves tapas, sandwiches, and combination plates for dinner.
