The decor is really lovely, and the place looks great, but that’s about all it had going for it for us. It was basically a bed and parking. There was no pool, gym, TV or Wi-Fi available, so check whether the pool, Wi-Fi, beds, sheets, towels and lifts are actually available before you book. You never know. When we asked if a technician could help get the TV working for the kids, since there was nothing to do in the area, the receptionist flatly said no and hung up. Before hanging up, she said we should have asked whether the TV and Wi-Fi worked when we booked. One staff member was really unhelpful. Glad to be moving on. There are some nice Spanish hotels, but this isn’t one of them. You’d have a better experience somewhere much cheaper.

The lighting system was very high-tech and fine once I got the hang of it, though I kept needing my phone torch to find my glasses so I could switch the light on! I also wondered about the frosted glass toilet doors in the room. They don’t feel private to everyone, so I used the ones downstairs instead. The hotel itself was fabulous, with amazing decor and friendly staff. Covered parking cost €15, and it was very secure with really large spaces. Tahoe cafe & restaurant didn’t open until 8pm, and the food wasn’t to our taste, so we had to head out to find something late on a Sunday. Still, it was a great stay.

The courtyard and lounges were beautiful, and breakfast in the lovely restaurant was fabulous. Rooms were modern and lovely, and the staff were very friendly. It was easy to reach from the motorway, in a pleasant small town, and made a great stop on the way from Santander to Murcia. Well worth going a bit farther past Madrid. I’ll definitely stay again. The pool was lovely too.

We’ve stayed here three times now, and it never disappoints. The room was spotless and the bed extremely comfortable. The architecture and decor are fabulous, and there’s a lively bar serving great food and drinks at very reasonable prices. If you need somewhere about halfway between Santander and Torrevieja, look no further. We won’t hesitate to book again and again.
