The food was good, but the bar and restaurant service was subpar. The QR code menu showed 16 euros for the three-course meal, yet we were charged 20. When I raised it with the waitress and owner, they said the displayed price was old, even though we'd used their code. My adult children noticed that foreigners may think they're paying 16 euros and then get charged 20. The owner's response was that it was what it was and there was no other solution. Pilgrim friends, beware if you eat here. I do not recommend this place, and would avoid it if possible.

The shower was warm, clean, and the best part of the place. In the morning there was no toilet paper left in the women's restroom. The four of us pilgrims got a very unfriendly welcome, and we felt the landlady didn't want to host pilgrims. We were put in a six-bed room and weren't allowed to open the window at night. Even asking to air it out for a few minutes led to real arguments. The landlady was still grumpy and unwelcoming in the morning. Not a good hotel, wouldn't recommend it.

We couldn't fault our stay. The place is right on the Camino, and the room and bathroom were sparkling clean, which matters a lot to me. Dinner was lovely: mixta salad, pork cheek stew with potatoes, cheesecake, and really good red wine. The generous three-course meal with wine was around 16 euros. We also had bacon and eggs for the first time on the Camino, cooked perfectly and very tasty. The coffee was good too, without the burnt taste I've found pretty common on the Camino.

There are plenty of pilgrims and locals here enjoying good drinks and food, which makes this hotel different from many places along the Camino de Santiago. The rooms are comfortable, well appointed, and have a nice hotel feel. Friends also told me the beds are very nice.

David served us this evening and was amazing. Our albergue was closing, so we had to leave quickly, and he got our food out fast while still giving us plenty of attention. The food was good, and they had vegan and vegetarian options. Thank you!
