The place was advertised as having a balcony, but there wasn't one. A building site right next door started making extreme noise early every morning. We could barely get the door open when we arrived because the keyhole was completely rusty. They said someone would come oil it, but nobody showed up all week, so we couldn't lock the door with the key. The roller shutters were hard to operate. One wouldn't open all the way, and neither rolled properly in its ropes. The cooking setup was in poor shape. The stove was so dirty I had to clean it before using it, and the frying pans and other equipment were sticky. There was just one pot. The kettle handle had melted and was uncomfortable to hold. The milk foamer was missing its main part, so it couldn't foam milk. The washing machine didn't heat up and wouldn't work. There was hardly any cutlery, just one cup and one wine glass when we arrived. They did bring four more cups and glasses, and two more pieces of cutlery per person. That was the only promise the maintenance staff kept. The dishes smelled really bad because the cupboard had a damp, old-cellar smell. I had to wash everything before using it and leave it outside the cupboard. The clothes rack was so rotten and rusty it collapsed. The wardrobe was broken and unusable: only one door opened, and all the shelves had collapsed. The sofa was very dirty.
