Even in the winter off-season, our room stayed warm and was roomy enough for three adults and two dogs. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and breakfast was simple but really tasty. El Cortillo Las Piñas near Tarifa is a charming, peaceful little hotel with a lovely green courtyard. The nearest dune and beach are about a 20-minute walk away. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it.

The breakfast came to the table rather than being a buffet, which made it feel personal. There were swings and toys for our young children, and plenty of outdoor benches and chairs for the older parents to sit and relax. This is a distinctive little hotel that suited our family perfectly. We’d recommend it to anyone after a family-friendly place in a calm, natural setting.

A peaceful, relaxing place with excellent apartments and lovely, friendly staff. We enjoyed breakfast, and the young woman who served us was especially good. We’d happily stay again and recommend it for either a short or longer stay around Tarifa.

The bed was comfortable, and the air conditioning gets nice and cold. The host was kind and accommodating, and the shower had strong pressure and got hot. Ask for soap when you arrive or bring your own.
