Dar Cilla Guesthouse

Zoe has thought of everything. They provide all the little essentials, from salt and pepper and soy sauce to toilet paper, so there’s no need to make an inconvenient shop run just to feel comfortable. The complimentary bottle of wine and kimono dressing gowns were lovely touches, and the terrace views were amazing. Room service even came reliably twice during our week. Dar Cilla made for a wonderfully relaxing holiday from the moment we arrived until we left. The attention to detail is superb, and they go several steps further to make sure you don’t have to buy the usual things yourself. It’s such a relief when a self-contained apartment hotel has what you need, instead of leaving you short on basics like sugar, washing-up liquid, or rubbish bags.

Zoë and her lovely staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. The place has its own personality, with a cosy, charming feel and a great location, so it’s more than an ordinary guesthouse. I love staying here. The communal terrace has great views across Tarifa and the strait.

The staff were friendly whenever we needed them and otherwise gave us our privacy. The hotel was great value, and Tarifa has some excellent places to eat and drink. The accommodation is lovely and well located, and the staff are lovely too. Ask about day trips to Tangier with Sa'id. They’re inexpensive and rewarding.
