Hotel THe Tarifa Lances

The convenient parking made things easy, and the service was excellent throughout, with staff who were consistently helpful and professional. Our room was spacious and beautiful, with a stunning view. We also enjoyed the hotel restaurant, both the dinner choices and the varied, well-prepared breakfast. I had a truly excellent stay at Hotel Tarifa Lances and would recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, quality, and top-notch service.

We had a great time at Tarifa Lances. The rooms are spacious, clean, and well designed, and we liked the colors, little details, and most of the hotel's styling. All the staff were kind and professional, compliments to them. A couple of small suggestions: the beds squeak a bit, especially with all the wood behind them, and that could disturb the neighbors. It might also be nice to keep the skybar pool open in the after season. All in all, a great spot for sea and surf fans like us who enjoy a bit more luxury.

The property is nice and the location is great, but the staff fell short. I live in Marbella and went in person a week before our stay to ask about paying for an upgraded room. It seemed to confuse them completely. Eventually, the man at the front desk said he'd send me a payment link before we arrived, but it never came. At check-in I raised the upgrade with a young woman at reception. She asked who I'd spoken to, and I reminded her it was the man she'd been working with a week earlier, while she was sitting right there. I did end up paying for and receiving an upgrade, and the room was nice. The staff need more training or should be replaced.

The hotel was decent enough and the staff were friendly. They need sun umbrellas, and the nearby beach isn't great, so you'll have to go farther down. There were a couple of disappointing charges I need to take up with Booking.com: parking was offered and I assumed it was part of the hotel, but it cost 15 euros a day. I also thought breakfast was included, but it was 16 euros per day.
