The small shop had all the basics, and on our one visit the restaurant’s pizzas and other meals were high quality. Service was friendly, and the beach is just 500 meters away, reached on foot through a tunnel. The toilets and showers were clean. Tent pitches can get muddy in the rainy season, though that isn’t a problem in summer. There was construction in part of the site, but it didn’t bother us.

The pool doesn’t open until 11:00 a.m. It’s frustrating in the summer heat. Would it really be so difficult to open the gate by 9:00? We found the campsite disappointing. The toilets and showers were in very poor condition and clearly not well maintained. The camper van and tent parking area was extremely dusty and dirty, which made getting around unpleasant. You have to whisper when chatting or playing music because the neighbours get annoyed easily, so there’s no real feeling of freedom or relaxation. One elderly neighbour went to reception four times to complain because we were having a normal conversation at midnight, nothing loud or inappropriate.

The site was quiet when we stayed, from 1-3rd of May, and the staff were nice. Bathrooms were clean and had toilet paper, and the showers had warm water. There’s also a pool, though it wasn’t open during our visit, plus a little restaurant and market. We had a lovely two night getaway with my partner and our two dogs, camping in the open area. It’s in a very good location, with quick walking access to the beach and lovely chiringuitos like Tangana and Tumbao. We’ll come again!

There’s a tunnel leading towards a fantastic, wide sandy beach with designated bathing and kitesurfing areas. The area is known for strong winds and kitesurfing. There are a couple of chiringitos on the beach, but they’re closed off season. This is a small, friendly site, about 30 years old by my guess. Some parts look a little tired, though the pool is among the summer amenities. The tennis courts and kids’ play area are open all year. There’s also a small supermarket, plus an onsite bar and restaurant open throughout the year. Reception staff speak several languages, including English and German. The pitches aren’t huge, but should fit most caravans, tents, and mobile homes. Most include water and electricity in the price. Toilets and showers are a bit dated but kept very clean, and toilet paper is provided. It’s very dog friendly, and most people keep their pets on leads and clean up after them. I’ll definitely be back. I’m going to book while I’m here for another visit in a few months!
