Tres Mares

Miriam from the restaurant was a big part of why we'd like to return to Hotel DOS Mares. Her sunny smile, helpfulness, and friendly, caring attitude each morning made a difference. The staff made our stay memorable, and she's a real asset to the hotel.

Great design, a fun vibe, and friendly staff. I've been coming here for over 20 years, but it's sad to see how much the prices have shot up. The kite school used to be really relaxed, and now they're charging 190€ for one private lesson hour. It used to be 60€ at most.

I called to ask whether a room was available, and they said yes. I told them I'd arrive in ten minutes and asked them to hold it. I got there in under ten minutes, but the two young women at the desk said they hadn't spoken with me and that I must have talked to someone who'd left during a shift change. There was no note about my name or the request. It was awkward, though luckily they still had a room. On other occasions, I also felt unwelcome when I approached them. The front desk is the face of a hotel, and the staff need customer service training so guests feel welcome. I'd read other reviews describing rude and unhelpful front desk staff too, and it made me feel less like I was the only one who'd had an unpleasant interaction.

Stopped in with friends for coffee and tea. The view is lovely, and the place is open all year. In winter, the fireplace makes the dining room and bar warm and cozy.
