Vagamundos

We'd held this reservation for months for a May 1 weekend in Tarifa. While we were driving from Ronda, they emailed to say there was an apparent discrepancy with the credit card details and gave me two hours to sort it out or they'd cancel. By the time my wife and I got to Tarifa, we had no hotel room. Thankfully, the nearby and quieter BEATERIO took us in, and we had two very good nights while visiting Tarifa.

There's a lovely sun terrace on the top floor for all guests, and the hotel's full of character. Our room was clean and very nice, and although the bathroom was a bit tight, it was absolutely fine. We were a little confused about where and when breakfast was served, so a sign in a few languages would help. Still, we had a lovely stay and would come back. We loved the area, with the beach and restaurants just a quick walk away.

They cancelled our reservation when we arrived, saying they'd given us two hours to reply to an email they'd sent while we were driving from Malaga to Tarifa. The way they treated us was awful, and they didn't care about our situation. I wouldn't rely on this place for a stay.

We stopped for a Spanish cortado on the terrace, but it wasn't worth it. Nobody came to serve us, so we had to go inside and find a waitress. The coffee tasted like tea. We paid and left without drinking it. Hopefully the rooms are better.
