Villa Biarritz Bed & Breakfast

The whole family enjoyed staying here. It’s a beautiful place with an amazing view and a Mediterranean feel to the house.

The location is the big draw: it’s absolutely privileged, with direct beach access near the Bunker in Atlanterra. The views are spectacular, and I’d recommend it for a weekend, especially for a couple, though it isn’t budget-friendly. You can rent the whole house, which I believe has 8 bedrooms, and then you also get kitchen access. It’s tourist accommodation where you can rent rooms. Some things could be better quality: the double-room beds are actually single beds pushed together, the nice infinity pool needs considerable upkeep because its lining and wooden area are deteriorated, and there’s no shower gel or shampoo.

They still owe me €264, and they won’t answer my calls or messages. I had to cancel because I had a fever. A receptionist had said I could cancel, since I’d only have to pay at the hotel if I didn’t show up. But they canceled the reservation and charged the card I’d provided to guarantee it. They’re thieves.

The photos didn’t reflect what we found, and the staff weren’t coordinated. We called to check availability, then were shown an apartment with a completely broken glass door. They moved us to another one in Atlanterra, but it smelled damp and had no sheets, towels, shower gel, shampoo, or anything else. We only got the apartment key, not the building entrance key, so the garage was our only way in. Nobody explained the complex or how to find our way around, which made getting there difficult. All of that cost €89 a night in low season, in January. If you want to be ripped off, don’t hesitate to go.
