AC Hotel Tarragona by Marriott

Breakfast was good, and there’s a fitness room, a rooftop, and a meeting room. The hotel is close to the city center, with a bus station about five minutes away and good links to Barcelona airport. The room was nice, though basics like a razor and slippers weren’t provided. Parking is available for a fee.

The view looked into a space surrounded by other room windows and blank walls. It still brought in natural light, though, and wasn’t flooded with light at night. The room itself was spacious. I couldn’t cool it using the temperature control, but opening the window brought in cool fresh air. Finding the key slot for the lights was a pain too. It was hidden in the dark with no light to mark it, so I had to use my phone flashlight.

The parking garage is really cramped, and breakfast was convenient but pricey. The bakery right next door is a much better option. Rooms are standard Marriott, and the service was pretty good. They use the exchange rate to cut back on benefits that elite members are entitled to. Even so, it was great value for the money, and I’d stay again if I came back to the area.

Everyone was so nice. The woman at the front desk made us feel welcome, recommended restaurants and dishes, and arranged a taxi for the next day. The driver was wonderful too. They really care about their customers.
