Hotel Pigal

The room floor was dirty when I arrived. I told the receptionist, who checked and agreed, saying he couldn't move me because the hotel was full. He offered to clean it himself. I left for two hours, but when I returned the floor was still dirty. I couldn't tell whether he'd tried to clean it. The heating stayed very hot even though it was turned down. The receptionist said a technician had been called, but wouldn't come until Monday, although I arrived on Saturday. The hotel is very old, and there's a disgusting smell in the corridors, kitchen and bathroom. There's only a dirty curtain between the bathroom and the room, no door. The furniture is old and in poor condition, and they don't provide duvet covers. All this cost 76 euros a night without breakfast. I think it's the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. Stay away.

A cozy, very nice hotel, with lots of pretty details in the very clean room. The staff were polite and friendly. The receptionist showed us around, explained the city's main sights and marked them on a map. In the kitchen, we found everything we needed: a microwave, kettle, tea and sugar.

A comfortable, quiet and clean hotel with a home-like feel, right in the center. The host was kind and attentive, and his recommendations helped us settle in easily and enjoy our trip. We were very pleased.

The common area was pleasant and gave us a chance to socialize, and I enjoyed my stay overall. Service was attentive and the stay generally comfortable, though the bed springs squeaked quite a bit, having the bathroom in the hallway felt awkward, and the internet cut out a few times.
