We had a lovely view from our balcony, and the hotel sits in central Tarragona on the quieter side of the main square. It was good value, the staff were friendly, and the room was comfortable enough. There’s no breakfast buffet, but you can get coffee and delicious sandwiches in the morning, and they also offer a dinner menu.

The hotel has a great location and a family-run feel. Our room was a decent size, though the double bed was really small and covered with what looked like a single sheet. You can imagine how that went for two people. The bedside lights were too dim for reading, and I had to get out of bed to switch mine off, which rather defeats the point. We used a small towel for a bathmat, and no bathmat ever turned up. Our window faced the front, so it was noisy into the small hours when left open. There is AC. Rooms at the back might be a better option, and it seems they have twin beds too.

We’re thinking of extending our time in Tarragona, so we stopped in tonight for a warm cafe con leche and to check the hotel out. The woman working at the bar was incredibly rude, and we felt uncomfortable the whole time. She clearly seemed to think we were in the way. If that’s the sort of welcome guests get, I wouldn’t consider staying here.

For the price, this is really good value. It’s right in the heart of Taragona, with parking close by. The rooms were clean, had air conditioning, and the staff were pleasant. I’d recommend it for a short stay.
