€44 a night for a double room with a double bed felt like an average price for average quality. The location is handy, within walking distance of all the monuments, and the afternoon receptionist was very helpful. There’s a large bathroom and cheap parking two streets away at parking Saavedra, €5.5 a day, plus a drop off space in front of the hotel. The building is old and needs refurbishment. Noise carries between rooms, including footsteps and snoring, so I slept with earplugs. The mattresses are hard, and the bath, sink, mirror, and floor were chipped. There were odd stains on the walls, and the elevator is tiny, so it may not suit anyone who’s claustrophobic.

Rambla Nova is a good location, and the rooms are clean and spacious. The TV has BBC and CNBC. Parking is only available in the municipal garage below the street, at over €20 a day.

For the affordable price, it was about what you’d expect. The location was wonderful, but the beds were terrible. The hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. WiFi was just okay, and the room felt a little dated.

The service was nice and everything else was good. It’s on the main boulevard, close to downtown. Breakfast was pretty simple and could maybe be better.
