The apartment has plenty of cooking gear, and the equipment guides with photos were genuinely useful, especially for figuring out the laundry. The coffee setup includes a Nespresso machine without capsules and a drip maker with filters, plus pots, pans, and cutlery. But bring your own basics like coffee, salt, sugar, and olive oil, along with toiletries. There’s only basic soap and shampoo and two toilet rolls, which barely covered a week for two. The eco-friendly instructions felt odd when I had to buy more soap for two days and then throw it away. The sheets and towels were clean but damp, and one sheet smelled. Nights in winter can get unexpectedly cold too, down to 18°C with the windows shut. You can hear everything through the thin walls. Check-in was a strange process on a questionable website, on top of Booking.com, requiring scanned IDs and an electronic signature from everyone. The host was very responsive when it came to getting us to check in, but much less communicative when I asked whether there was salt in the house. The answer arrived in a message after checkout, along with the instructions, right under my question.
