Finca Botanico

We loved having so many different spots in the garden to sit with a glass or two of local wine. The Finca itself was a pleasure, and we hope to come back. Gaby was helpful and easy to reach, as others have mentioned. When we arrived, we were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and bright the place felt. The living room and kitchen look out over the beautiful garden, almost like a summer house. Even in the rain, the view was lovely.

We had a honeymoon here that we won't forget. Gaby and Nick, thank you! The Garden Apartment had excellent facilities, and the garden is gorgeous. The local restaurants were closed when we arrived, so Gaby got food for us to see us through the evening and checked about our dietary needs first. We also tried several of the recommended restaurants and found the meals excellent, generous, and good value. Finca Botanico was just as good on those points. We'd highly recommend hiring a car. Gaby pointed us to CICAR, which offered great service and good value.

We've had several lovely winter stays at Secret Garden Villa, and the warm welcome from Gaby and Nick is always there. They've renovated the finca to a very comfortable, high standard and keep adding thoughtful little extras. The enclosed garden is a delight, with sun and shade, all sorts of subtropical plants, and gentle lighting that makes it lovely at night. It also feels private and safe. Guatiza is a small village, well placed for walks to the coast or hills and for exploring the quieter north of the island. There's a good Italian restaurant and a handy little village shop. The property feels like a green oasis in an otherwise arid landscape. We recommend it without hesitation.

Gaby has thought through what makes for a comfortable stay, and the Garden Apartment is well equipped and a good size. We especially liked its rural setting and the lovely garden, with the seaside only a few kilometres away. We just got back from a delightful visit. Five stars all round!
