We only wish we'd had more time at Palacio Ico. The place feels both upscale and comfortable, and the service was outstanding. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were among our best meals during two weeks in Spain, including time in Costa Brava, Barcelona and Madrid. Sonsoles, Eduardo and Nicolas were so warm and helpful. They even suggested things for our Madrid visit and called ahead with details about the Teguise market and where to park on the Sunday we were checking in. We're already planning another trip to Lanzarote and Palacio Ico.

The building is historic and the breakfast was very good. Service was kind and good, but the room was average and overpriced. We were charged 70€ a night for an extra person, which felt like a rip-off to me.

The food was fresh, with some really interesting combinations, and quite outstanding. Service seemed a bit inexperienced: they poured the next wine without changing our glasses or letting us taste the new bottle. Dinner also felt rushed, as soon as we'd finished eating they had us take the rest of the bottle outside to make room for new customers. For a pricey restaurant, those were drawbacks. With a few changes, this could be one of the island's best places.

The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and the architecture is lovely. Breakfast looks beautiful, though there's not quite enough of it. The place seems understaffed, and I thought the room price was excessive. Overall, poor value for money.

We first found this gem two years ago, on our first trip to Lanzarote, and got married there on our return. The quiet, charming town of Teguise is a perfect setting. From the courtyard to the details in each room, the hotel is carefully designed, and we felt calm as soon as we walked in. It's so much more than a hotel, beautiful and soul-restoring, yet still like home. We brought close friends and family from Asia and North America for an intimate wedding. They all loved the setting, service, food and wine, and many said it was their best trip ever. The different spaces, from rooms to common areas, have so much character. The experience topped even our first visit. Sonsoles and her husband made sure we and our guests felt welcome and cared for. Housekeeping worked around guests' time in their rooms, finishing before they returned, and did it impeccably. Ivan, the Sommelier, knows his wines; my husband and father really enjoyed talking with him. We're back in Canada now and still buying wines he recommended. Chef Victor leads one of the island's best restaurants, presenting local ingredients beautifully. The breakfasts are incredible too. On our first trip, we once hurried back to Hotel Palacio Ico for dinner after being disappointed by another restaurant. We still can't believe the restaurant doesn't have a michelin star. Two months after the wedding dinner, our guests are still talking about the meal Chef Victor and his team prepared. It's rare to find a restaurant that keeps turning out such wonderful food, even two years after our first meal. A huge thank you to Zeneida and Charly for making our stay so memorable. We're honoured to have celebrated our special day here. This is a place we'll always want to return to. It gives every guest an elevated, unforgettable experience without pretension. The staff's care, warmth and personal touch are what set it apart.
