We eventually got moved to a much better room with an upgrade, but it took some persistence. At first, the room we were given overlooked the parking area and bins, despite booking a pool view, and staff tossing empty bottles into the bins around 2am made it very noisy. Our first attempt to raise it at reception was brushed off. The facilities were nice, with a good pool, and the room was clean after the move. Food had a decent selection and tasted good, and the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. Still, the hotel didn't feel like a proper 4-star place, and the original room and response left a bad impression. Check the room when you arrive. With a good room, you can have an enjoyable stay, but noise and poor service may be a problem.

The hotel is in a fabulous spot: the back steps lead straight to the promenade and beach. We stayed six nights and couldn't fault the experience. Our room was clean, modern, and had everything we needed, plus a lovely sea view. Sitting on the balcony early to watch the sunrise was a highlight. Breakfast and dinner buffets had plenty of choice, and drinks were reasonably priced since we were on half board. We arrived early to check in and got a call when the room was ready.

The staff were lovely, breakfast had lots of choice, and the central location is great, just two minutes from the beach. But the hotel needs a serious refurbishment, especially the pool-view rooms. Ours smelled bad, the beds dipped in the middle, and the noisy AC didn't cool the room. Luckily, we could leave the balcony door open. The gym is tiny and missing most of its weights, though the location is good if you want to go running. Sadly, I wouldn't stay here again.

The staff were the friendliest we've ever met, and they really made the holiday. Food was great, drinks were generous, and the rest of the hotel was fabulous. We were told we'd been upgraded to a sea-view room, which sounded great until we found the balcony was too cold to sit on. Guests with pool views got sun on their balconies and could watch what was happening. Also, those awful metal side cabinets need replacing immediately.

Rosemary, the animation lady, was excellent, and the location couldn't be better. The hotel staff were lovely, the food was very good, and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Definitely going again.
