The Beach House

This is a really lovely little house, very clean and tastefully done, in a fantastic spot beside the beach and town. The kitchen has what you need, including a microwave, cooker, fridge, and basic welcome pack. There are two bathrooms, plenty of cupboard space in the downstairs bedroom, and a small enclosed balcony off one bedroom. The pool is not too deep and has shallow edges to sit on. It sits in a courtyard and is shaded for much of the day. The patio doors open fully from the pool into the living room. There's no room for loungers by the pool, but two are on the roof terrace, along with a table and four chairs, no umbrella, and a BBQ. Standing on the terrace gives a partial sea view. The TV has Netflix, or you can bring your own Firestick. There are lots of stairs, including a split-level kitchen and tall steps to the roof, so it may not suit young children or people with mobility problems. There was no aircon, just a ceiling fan in the kitchen and two portable bedroom fans, and sleeping was very warm in August. Unfortunately, Costa teguise seems to have a cockroach problem at the moment, and we saw several in the bathroom. The smell made it unusable. Lanzarote retreats responded quickly and sent someone to put down traps, but the smell remained. We didn't contact them again on our last day because we were only there for three nights. It's a nice company and a beautiful, clean house, but we were unlucky with the cockroaches. A local restaurant also had some in its toilets.
