Villa Nazoly

The pictures don’t really show how lovely this place is. It was clean and cozy, with everything we needed, in a peaceful area that felt less touristy. The minimarket was an easy walk away. There’s plenty of room around the pool, and we had privacy to enjoy our stay. I’d come back without hesitation.

We were greeted very warmly, and when we asked for a heater because it was so cold, they brought one over. That was a thoughtful touch. The TV had all the apps for watching movies, which was handy. There were some drawbacks, though. We only got two bath towels, with none for our faces or hands, and there wasn’t anywhere to heat water for tea. The birds outside were very noisy. Nobody explained the pool or other facilities, though perhaps the poor weather played a part. I don’t understand why this is rated a four-star hotel.

We felt very comfortable here. The owners live next door and are really friendly, although we mostly communicated with gestures because they speak very little English. The big pool and outdoor space were a peaceful, restorative escape.

This annex is about the size of a large apartment, kept in good shape and furnished in a minimalist style. It has a roomy open-plan living area with a kitchenette, a bedroom, a hall with a walk-in closet, and a bathroom with two sinks and an open-sided shower. We did find ants inside, especially in the kitchen, even when there was no food around. The doors weren’t sealed. The outdoor pool was a bit dirty, and filtration pipes were left there during our stay. There was no shower gel in the bathroom either. The owner didn’t speak English, and when the payment machine failed, we had to go collect it. It was good, but there’s room for improvement.
