We booked more than a month ahead, then the property managers cancelled just five days before we were due to travel. Their explanation was that they kept more than one diary for their properties and had double-booked. Finding another villa at the last minute cost us significantly more. The whole thing was shocking and unprofessional, as if it were just a hobby for them. You can book, but be ready for the possibility they cancel shortly before your trip, as they did with ours.

We had a great week here with our baby. The roomy house had everything we needed, which made it easy to travel light, and we especially liked having a BBQ on the terrace. My one suggestion is to add a rail to the raised terrace, since it wasn't great with a crawling baby. Apart from that, it was a lovely stay.

The host was lovely, helpful, and easy to reach, and the location was wonderfully quiet, with a great view of volcanoes and the sandy plain. Famara was a relaxed 5-10 minute drive away. The flats are spacious and spotless, with everything you need for a holiday and no clutter. They feel like places you could happily live in, rather than cramped holiday spaces.

A car would be handy for trips, though groceries are available nearby. The neighborhood was very quiet at night, and I liked the view of the desert from the apartment. It's a good place for the price, with a friendly and helpful manager. The flat is well equipped, including flatware, kitchenware, a coffeemaker, toaster, oven, microwave, TV, and a simple grill.
