There were seven of us, four adults and three kids aged 7-13, and we had everything we needed. The villa works well for two families, with four good-sized bedrooms. The upstairs two bedrooms and bathroom are reached by a separate outdoor staircase. The huge bedroom on the first floor has a great balcony and terrace, and the owner was lovely. My only tiny gripe was having to use the outdoor stairs if we’d left something downstairs. A small fridge in the upstairs rooms would also have been handy for keeping drinks cold on the balcony in the evening without disturbing anyone below. I’d definitely come back.

I’ve just come back after a few days and would highly recommend this place for a short stay. It was spacious, well cared for, and had everything we needed, including cooking facilities, a washing machine, barbecue, and pool. Towels were supplied, which was a relief because our luggage was already full. The rooms were airy, and the curtains made them nice and dark for sleeping. There was a fan too, which helped when it was warm. The pool area was large and well laid out, with loungers and an outdoor table for meals. Everything was clean and brightly painted, and I felt really relaxed here. It’s only a short walk to the beach and good places to eat, yet it’s quiet. I’ll certainly be back soon. Very impressed.

The house felt like home, with exceptionally clean rooms and a private courtyard, pool, and charcoal grill. The grill came with charcoal, accelerant, and matches. The location was fantastic too, less than a five-minute walk from a grocery store, with various restaurants and bars nearby. Everyone I met in town was kind and helpful. Our hostess was thoughtful and incredibly kind. Our flight was late, so although we’d expected to arrive around 9 pm, we didn’t get there until 11:20 pm. She waited for us well past the expected time. We have a little one, and she went out of her way to buy milk for him, along with 2litre of water and fresh fruit for all of us. We’re leaving a day early, and she said she would refund us for that day. She was amazing.

We’ve stayed in a few of these villas over several years and thought we’d built a good relationship with the owner. Casa Fayna is in a good location, but this time we were very disappointed. We’d booked in September 22 for a week that included the night of the 28th. When we arrived, the owner told us they’d double-booked us with a large group renting the three houses from the 28th. She asked us to move to a hotel they would book, which meant packing up and leaving a day before we were due to go home. I had a text proving our dates, but they still wanted us to move. The three of us agreed it was unfair and would disrupt our holiday, so I contacted the owner and said we weren’t moving. She replied that we’d put her in a difficult situation, then we heard nothing more from her. The villa itself was very dated, with a lot needing repair. I wouldn’t recommend staying here or return myself, and I won’t recommend it as I had before.

I booked this accommodation through booking com five months ahead. They were meant to take payment 30 days before the trip, but didn’t. I tried every way I could to reach them, by email, phone, and Facebook, and got no reply. Then, two weeks before we were due to travel, they tried to charge an old credit card, even though I’d updated my card details with them in September. The payment failed, and four days later they tried the old card again. When that failed too, they cancelled my booking. I kept trying to contact them to reinstate it, but got no response as usual. Now I have £1500 worth of flights I can’t use, because there’s no other accommodation on the island for New Year. Thank you, Villas Reina, for ruining my holiday, Christmas, and New Year. Your communication is terrible!!!
