Villa de Mestas

We’d certainly return. The prices were reasonable, and the hotel is in a quiet part of green Asturias, ideal for a completely relaxing weekend. The spa was amazing, with professional staff, and breakfast was wonderful, especially the tortilla. Dinner was good too. Our room was quite large and very clean.

The food was superb and very local, including pastel de carbacho and filete con salsa de cabrales. Breakfast brought tortilla de patatas in a different version each day, sometimes plain and sometimes with ham and cheese. There are goats and sheep behind the hotel, and you might see them eating from the pool. Our room was extremely clean and welcoming, with a breathtaking view. Staff were friendly and the service was excellent throughout. Balconies and porches make lovely places to watch the sunset with a glass of wine. The coffee was pretty decent, too.

So peaceful and clean, with kind people, a nice breakfast, and a fantastic swimming pool surrounded by green. This lovely hotel is a great place to spend a few days relaxing, close to Covadonga lakes and the Picos mountains. Come and enjoy it.

The bathroom floor was covered with long black hairs. They moved us to another room, but there were hairs under the pillow and on the sheets there, too. It was Christmas Eve at 1 pm when they asked us to leave and offered to refund our money. Outrageous.
