The praise this place gets left me feeling misled, especially given how much it costs for the area. It feels more like visiting estranged in-laws than staying at a bed and breakfast, and it's isolated in the middle of nowhere. Tall walls and lovely gardens surround it, giving the place the feel of a guarded private compound, somewhere like South America. You have to ring the bell and ask to be let in or out. Inside, the rooms are darkly painted but lit by very bright bluish LEDs. My small room had a chandelier with seven of them, which was unpleasant at night when trying to find the bathroom or in the morning when waking up. The whole house also smelled strongly of air freshener.

A lovely place to slow down and relax. The garden has fresh apples and grapes, and the rooms are beautifully presented. The people here are so warm and friendly, just wonderful. Perfeto

The rooms are exceptional, and the service is exquisite. It's a great base for a weekend of switching off, tucked away somewhere peaceful but still close to everything: Santiago is 10 minutes away, Sillada and its fairgrounds 5 minutes, Bandeira and the famous Toxa waterfall 10, and A Estrada with the Pazo de Oca is very close by. If you're visiting the area, don't hesitate to stay here.

Mari serves a homemade breakfast, with plenty of good conversation along with it. The owners, Mari and Pepe, are lovely, attentive and warm. You can see how much care they've put into the business in all the thoughtful touches. Highly recommend.
