Apartamentos Puerta Muralla

The apartment was spacious, comfortable, and right in the center. The temperature was just right, and the kitchen had all the utensils we needed. But one bed had no sheets, only a mattress cover, and there weren’t any in the closet. The pillows smelled strongly of perfume, too. Parking was a real headache. We’d paid for it separately, but nobody told us until 10 PM on arrival day that the town festival was on and streets would be closed for the bull release. The closed road included the one leading to the garage, so we had to leave the car on the street and go back for it in the early hours. After a long day walking with a small child, we just wanted to rest, but ended up staying awake to see whether the garage had reopened. The same closures affected dinner out, since we had to get back by a certain time or risk being locked out from 9:30 onwards. The festival music stage was very close to the apartment, too. The rest wasn’t what we’d expected.

We slept really well because the apartment was so quiet, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were there for three nights. The parking was good, the elevator went right up to the apartment, and we could walk everywhere from the perfect location. Staff were helpful, attentive, and friendly. There were just a few small things that could be improved. I’d recommend it.

I’m posting this here since I can’t leave a review on Booking.com anymore. We stayed at the beginning of September, and César welcomed us warmly. He gave us a quick guide to places to see in Teruel and said we could reach out if we needed help. The apartment is very close to Plaza de El Torico, on a street with grocery shops. There’s usually a street market right next door, but it was quiet during our stay. The windows face a sort of courtyard between buildings. It’s open to the public, but we didn’t see anyone there. We’d worried about this before arriving because the photos showed the ground floor almost at street level, but it turned out not to be an issue. There’s a spacious living and dining room, kitchen, and toilet downstairs, with a full bathroom and two bedrooms upstairs. The kitchen has an oven, microwave, and dishwasher, and there’s a washing machine in the bathroom. All the windows have blinds. We had a few rainy spells and were still very comfortable staying in. Everything else was very clean, though the floor seemed to have been mopped without being swept or vacuumed first. Paid parking is available in the same building if you can’t find a spot nearby. We had a very pleasant stay and would recommend it to family and friends. We’d stay again if we return to Teruel.

Cesar was a fantastic manager, always ready to help when something unexpected came up. The apartment had clean, spacious rooms and a fully equipped kitchen, and it’s close to the city center. I’d highly recommend it, especially for families with young children.
