Hostal el Bugar

We won’t be coming back. The beds were comfortable and the hostel was clean, but they didn’t make the beds or clean the rooms each day. Noise carried everywhere, from neighbours on all sides to toilets flushing at night. There’s no parking, and finding a spot in the area is really difficult.

I’ve never left a negative review before, but this stay left me feeling cheated. The hot water worked, I’ll give it that, but we had to go out and buy towels because the service was so poor. Over three days the beds weren’t made and the floors weren’t mopped. We came in with dirty feet, and the paper-thin walls made every arrival and departure obvious. The reception is a tiny café and barely useful. The wall-mounted air freshener is supposed to be the best feature, but it only works as a nightlight, and the bathroom is bone dry. Flushing at night seemed to bring everyone running to find out what was going on. I hope I never have to stay somewhere like this again. I wouldn’t recommend it.

There was no room service during our stay. In the room we had, the bed setup was uncomfortable and really needs replacing.

We were riding the Ojos Negros Greenway, and they let us keep our bikes in their garage. Pablo also gave us tips on what to see, and we had a fantastic time. The hostel is in a quiet neighbourhood, under 10 minutes from Plaza del Torico and close to the centre. Everything was clean, the service was excellent, and there’s a vending machine for drinks. It was all great and reasonably priced. Thanks so much, we’ll try to stay here next time we stop in Teruel.
