Hotel El Mudayyan

We spent one night here and everything went well, with no major complaints. The A/C didn’t seem to cool the room very much, but we arrived at night and didn’t really need it. It could be a different matter in the heat of summer.

Teruel is compact and easy to explore on foot, so parking by the train station is convenient and free. La Glorieta is another option, though it’s paid and has EV charging. Our family room had a great view of the Salvador tower, and breakfast was good, with the usual continental European choices.

The room was pleasant, the beds were comfy, and breakfast was excellent, with proper coffee and much more than a continental spread, all for under 6 euros. The staff were great, and the hands-on owner was always around to check that we were okay and even brought local pastries to breakfast. We also got to visit the medieval tunnels under the hotel. It’s an excellent three-star hotel, and we’ll be back. We’ve just finished a four-night stay. The location is great, close to the main square. Free parking at the railway station is three or four minutes away, and we could drop our cases at the hotel first. There’s a free public lift just a few metres away that takes you down to the station level. We felt safe, and they had excellent Covid procedures in place.

We stayed for two nights in lovely Teruel after visiting NH Zaragoza, before heading on to Valencia. The hotel was great, though we skipped the breakfast buffet. There’s free parking at the train station, and taking the lift back up leaves you just 10 meters from the lobby. They also offer a free tour of the old underground tunnels beneath the hotel, which was really interesting.
