The house is huge, and its rooms feel like they belong to three different sections: an old part, a somewhat newer one, and another with the look of a typical Mediterranean country house by the coast. That layout was a plus. It’s right beside the church, and bars and restaurants are about a 5-10 minute walk away. The saltwater pool was a good size and depth, and I loved the rain shower in one of the bathrooms. But the oldest part of the house felt very dark, with decor that was a bit creepy. The furniture and appliances also seemed decades old. One bathroom door wouldn’t shut because its knob was broken, and part of the shower screen was missing. There was air conditioning in the living room and two bedrooms only. One kitchen had no gas stove, and a pan had burn marks and charred bits on it. The second night, I barely slept. I think someone at another house nearby had loud music on in the early hours.

The place has a lot of potential, which makes the state it’s in even more depressing. I’d read the older reviews, and it’s unbelievable that the same problems were still there 2-3 years later. It seems the owner had neglected the house. There was grime everywhere, bedbugs and the marks they left, plus a sewage smell that was hard to bear. The oven still had bits of tomato, ham, and cheese inside, the cutlery had tomato sauce on it, and the glasses were dusty. There was green stuff inside the coffee maker, and the person who opened it had to run to the bathroom to vomit. The mattress was soaking wet. The pool had sharp things in it, including glass and tiles, and a friend cut her foot. We ended up buying plastic cutlery because we didn’t want to touch anything in the house. I hope the owner changes how the property is managed. It could be incredible, but the reality was awful.

We were treated appallingly, and the neighbors even complained that we were moving furniture around in the middle of the night. I have trouble sleeping and move around a lot, but they acted as if we were characters from the TV series "La Que Se Abaza." The house itself was in terrible shape. There were cockroaches all over, and they can fly. The bathrooms smelled so bad they could make you vomit. The bathroom by the pool was so enclosed that if you went in and shut the door, you couldn’t get out. Its handle was broken, the shower screen was missing, and the whole area flooded. The pool was green, with no cleaning supplies provided, and the tiles came loose easily. My friend cut his finger, so water shoes are highly recommended. I really can’t recommend this rural house. They need to clean it properly, especially the pool, which looked like it had been dug out of the Guadalquivir River. Since the stay, I’ve developed several rashes all over my body. It’s embarrassing, and now all those spots are itchy. Thank you so much!!!

The host never checked in to ask how our stay had gone, which would have been nice. I didn’t get the chance to see them either. We booked three nights for a family trip after a friend recommended the place. The damp smell hit us as soon as we came in. Paint was peeling in one bedroom and the living room, and the baseboards had come loose. It was cold, but the only heat source was a little kerosene heater that didn’t work. There was no shampoo, hardly any hand soap, and just one partly used roll of toilet paper. The fridge was filthy, and the freezer smelled awful. The patio was dirty and neglected. Street noise came through because the windows didn’t close properly. What should have been three dream nights became a nightmare for our family. The house has potential, but it needs a lot of work before it feels welcoming or worth recommending. A huge disappointment.

The place has potential, but it’s managed terribly. There was a disgusting sewage smell and flies everywhere. Dust, grease, and huge cobwebs covered the place, and the toilet seat was stuck on and dirty. Some lights didn’t work, turning others on was a whole ordeal, and there weren’t enough bulbs, despite them supposedly being energy efficient. One shower had a razor blade left in it, and a bowl in the main kitchen had been taped off for ages. The furniture looked like it belonged in an old church storage room or a recycling center. One bed dropped to the floor as soon as we leaned on it because its legs were broken. The owner apparently didn’t know about it, so we had to sleep on mattresses on the floor, without pillows. Two of the beds had none. Even the door handles came off. Luckily, the company didn’t make us go back home. Honestly, it’s the sort of house that would be perfect for a horror movie, or at least for renting out at Halloween!
