Apartamentos Abadía

The apartment was a great size and the location was incredible. Its view was beyond belief, looking out over a busy street. I can understand that the city noise might not suit everyone, but we loved that view.

There was plenty of room for two in the apartment, though I think a third person might have found it uncomfortable. It was centrally located, and while we could hear people in the street, the noise didn't keep us from sleeping. We stayed in these apartments (France) a few days ago, and the stay was more or less okay, but a few things bothered me. We booked through Booking.com, whose amenities list in the attached photos says there's a designated smoking area. Inside, though, signs said "No smoking throughout the entire property," so I couldn't tell whether smoking was allowed on the balcony. Both balconies were absolutely covered in pigeon droppings. Even if smoking is allowed there, they should at least be cleaned a little. We couldn't even go near them without getting filth on us. The uncovered sofa had food stains from previous guests when we arrived, which felt very unhygienic. Maybe it needs a cover.

The place was tiny and dirty, nothing like the Booking.com photos. What I was told on the phone was that I could complain to Booking.com, because they said there was nothing more they could do. I'd have appreciated the offer mentioned in your reply: "We offered a full refund of the booking amount and the option to find other accommodation that better suited your needs." The balconies look out at the cathedral, and we hardly heard any noise despite being in a busy area. We slept well, thanks in part to the comfortable mattress. Our stay was August 12th to 15th in Florencia Apartment, on Calle Ancha, as they call it there (Calle Comercio). The place was clean, nicely decorated, and the kitchen had everything we needed. It's around 100 meters from Zocodover Square, with bars, restaurants, and a supermarket nearby. Communication with the person running the accommodation was good, and the cleaning lady was very pleasant. If I'm back in Toledo, I'll stay here again. Thank you.
