The building is historic and well located, but the room lacked things I’d expect in a 3-4 star property. There was no electric kettle or coffee maker, and no tissues. There’s a bathtub in the bedroom, which seemed odd. I’d at least like a kettle so I could make tea whenever I wanted. The hotel has potential, but you’ll need to lower your expectations to enjoy it. I wouldn’t recommend it to people used to 4-star properties.

The grounds and the view are lovely, but you could just come by to see those. I’d stayed here before and remembered it fondly, so I came back. This time we were put in a new wing where the bathroom was open: no door on the toilet and a see-through shower. With the room door open, someone in the corridor could see a person showering or using the toilet. Seriously!? The Wi-Fi didn’t work at all, and the room definitely wasn’t cheap.

A beautiful hotel not far from Toledo station. The rooms are spacious, with big bathrooms, and there’s a pool on the terrace. Breakfast is buffet style, with the option to order extra hot food.

The staff made this feel like a six-star stay. Johan, Benjamin, and the maintenance team helped with our many bags, stored some things, and moved boxes around. They were always willing to help, with no bad attitude at all. Angelica and the reception team were wonderful to work with before and during our stay. The people who arranged our post-wedding brunch and the waiters were so helpful too, though I wish I could remember their names. My wife and I recently got married in Toledo, and around 50 of our family members stayed here. We also held one of the wedding events at the hotel. The location is perfect, next to the old town but just outside it, so parking is easier. The hotel is beautiful, and the renovated rooms are modern and lovely while keeping their Toledo charm. I’d recommend it to anyone. I wish I could give it six stars!
