The apartments have what you need, and the location is especially handy, near both the bus station and the historic center. It’s a peaceful, beautiful place, and I’ll definitely book again when I come back to Toledo.

The best parts are the bed and the location. But calling this a suite doesn’t fit, it’s a cave where neither window can really be opened. One looks straight onto a street-level sidewalk, and the other onto an inner courtyard used by other tourists. The bathroom is enclosed, has no extractor fan, and comes without toiletries. There’s only a coffee maker and two capsules.

It’s a cozy suite in an old house beyond the city walls, and a good choice if you’re staying several days and want to cook for yourself. Cell phone reception was weak, though, which made getting the codes to open the rooms difficult.

The room was in an unacceptable, filthy state when I arrived. There was hair in the shower and sink, used sanitary pads in the bin, crumbs on the chair, and a glass stuck to the table in a sticky puddle. Dust had built up on the heater and hairdryer, the walls were dirty throughout, and the window wouldn’t close properly, creating a safety and comfort concern. I told reception right away, but they said no other rooms were available. The next day they offered to send someone to clean, but I had a wedding to attend and didn’t feel it was safe or reasonable to leave my belongings in an open room while strangers came and went. I submitted a formal complaint to Booking.com with photos. They compensated me only €43, which felt insulting given the unsanitary conditions and the price of the stay. This accommodation shouldn’t be on Booking.com. Offering a room like this is disrespectful to customers. I absolutely don’t recommend it. Avoid it.
