Hotel Zentral Mayoral

The location is great, but I wouldn't book here again or recommend it to family. Breakfast was dull and poor quality, and the shower was broken, making the handheld one hard to use. We'd booked a standard room and asked for a king bed, but got room 419, with a view of a wall and two beds pushed together instead. We arrived at 13.20, so it wasn't a late arrival, and when I checked availability at 23.30, rooms for the same stay still showed as available both as twin and double. I can't understand why they assigned us what was the worst room we've ever seen. I'd avoid the X19 rooms.

I liked the huge smart TV, and the room felt almost new and smelled lovely. Breakfast cost 12€ and had everything you might need. The woman serving breakfast on 17/10 deserves a special mention, she was sweet and full of energy. Just be aware that the hotel decides when to switch on the AC/Heating. I found the room hot enough that I had to sleep with the window open. It's a three-star place, though a kettle for tea or coffee would make it feel like a four-star to me. I was pleasantly surprised, and I'll stay here again when I'm back in Toledo.

We'd probably choose this hotel again on another trip to Toledo. We had three people in our room and still had loads of space, and it was clean. Breakfast had sweet and savory choices, with a particularly good range of cheese, fruit, cookies, and more. It's a 10-15 minute walk from Toledo main station, with a taxi rank right outside. You can also take the escalators and walk into the historic center in 10-15 minutes. Most guests seemed to be local, but the staff spoke English. I'd recommend it, and hope they keep up the good work. Muchisimas gracias!!!

We stayed in a double room from 23 to 25 May 2024. It was clean, spacious, and the beds were good. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel makes a good base for exploring Toledo. Breakfast was plentiful, though we'd suggest going outside the busy period. We were also pleasantly surprised by the dinner and coffee at the bar, both good and reasonably priced. Parking can be tight for SUVs, but the garage wasn't full, so we found a space that suited us. For the price, it's a very good three-star hotel.
