We booked and paid on Booking.com for a suite for two nights, but were first put in a double room with two single beds. We were told we should have requested the suite, even though we had. After I spoke with the receptionist, we were moved to a better front room. She then said she thought our first room was better, and the cleaner told me she had to stay past her 5 o’clock finish because we were changing rooms. The whole thing could have been handled much better and spoiled our stay, so we checked out early. Then we saw the room listed on Booking.com for 109, though we’d paid 145.

It felt like a little paradise on earth, peaceful and beautiful. My husband and I had a wonderful stay, with relaxed, friendly staff, amazing food, and a really restful pool area.

We came as a group of ten for Christmas Day and night. The hotel was clean throughout, and our room was spotless. Everyone was friendly, the atmosphere was relaxed, and we enjoyed a lovely dinner followed by breakfast the next morning. We’ll definitely return.

The staff were friendly, though sometimes difficult to find, perhaps because they were short staffed in the low season. Still, this hidden gem has a romantic, laid-back feel, beautiful views, and cozy shared spaces with a fireplace, games, and a pool table. Breakfast was great, and it’s dog friendly with no pet fees. Don’t miss the 1.6 km walk up to the Vista point of the snow peaks. We’ll be back.

I only tried the restaurant, and the food was excellent with plenty of dishes to choose from. I had tacos, enjoyed the service, and liked the spot where we sat. Before leaving, I took a quick look outside and saw a beautiful garden and pool with incredible mountain views. I’d have loved to stay there.
