The location worked well for our trip to Las Médulas, and it’s close to the motorways too. We especially appreciated how welcoming they were to our dog Merlin. They set up breakfast for us outdoors in the garden by the pool every day, which was lovely. The room and bathroom were both roomy, and we had nice views and a little balcony. The garden and pool were great, and being able to get a beer at the bar after arriving was a treat. It was unusually hot while we were there, though, and there was no air conditioning. A small fan helped a bit with the warm nights.

Breakfast was included and good, and the place was clean and nicely located. We did miss having air conditioning in our upstairs room.

The owners were really friendly, and I liked that pets are welcome. The garden and pool are lovely too. It’s a quiet, beautiful spot. Our room and private bathroom were fine, but on the first day the floor was pretty dusty and there was hair in the shower. Nights get very hot, at least in summer.

Breakfast was the highlight, plentiful and with a decent range and quality. There’s parking, although space is limited, and you might not be able to get your car out if another guest hasn’t parked carefully. The rooms were spacious and fine, but not especially comfortable. This is a rural hotel in the middle of nowhere, and the facilities look much worse than they do in the photos. For what’s offered, the price isn’t especially good. I rated it 3.5 stars.

Pets are allowed, and the woman who served us was lovely. It’s a very nice hotel and well placed for visiting Las Médulas. Good value for the money. Coming from Madrid, take exit 400 on the A6.
