Hostal La Carretera

The room was spacious and clean, and the hostel felt cozy. We especially liked the Christmas decorations, which are a nice touch if you’re travelling with children. The staff were friendly and attentive, and even gave my daughter gifts. She was thrilled with her elf. The location exceeded our expectations, with everything we needed nearby and the train station close at hand. Highly recommended.

There are lots of supermarkets nearby, and it’s in a great location. Parking outside isn’t difficult, just ask. The staff are very attentive, and there’s a small dining area where you can eat food you bring yourself. The Wishing Courtyard is lovely to enjoy in summer. Each room has a different country theme and matching decor. Whenever we come back, I visit my colleagues’ rooms to see which “country” they’re staying in. The location was the only good thing. We won’t be back. There was hair of every size and texture all over the floor, bathroom, and bed, plus bugs on the floor, dirt everywhere, damp on one wall, a general bad smell, and marijuana odor in the hallway. I asked the person at the entrance for clean sheets. They came up to make the bed and, without realizing, put on sheets covered in hair! They said there was a laundry problem and they’d sort it out. The experience was horrible. I slept with a blouse on the pillow. So disgusting, so much s... I know it’s a hostel and not a five-star hotel, but cleanliness matters anywhere. Everything was disgusting.

The hostel’s best feature is the staff: they’re welcoming, friendly, and full of cheer. The rooms are spotless and charming, and it’s very well located in Torrejón, across from shops and bars, with the town centre and train station nearby. If I return to Torrejón, I’d definitely stay here again. Thanks for the hospitality 😊
