José's sharp eyes and ears, along with his deep knowledge of the area, helped us spot virtually all the species we were hoping for during a fantastic day in the Extremadura fields. We even had a stunning eye-level view of a Spanish Imperial Eagle, and saw both bustards. I'd highly recommend his guiding.

We haven't stayed at the accommodation, but we've been out birding with Jose three times, in 2019 and 2024. He's a wonderful guide with excellent English, and can pick out birds that look like distant specks to an untrained eye. Highly recommended for a birding trip.

We weren't staying at his accommodation, but in April Jose took me and two birdwatching friends along the backroads between Caceres and Trujillo for a morning. It was a fantastic way to get to know the region. He knows the area inside out and found the species we hoped to see, including great and little bustards and wonderful views of Montagu’s Harriers. He also gave us a great lesson on telling apart all the larks around us, plus plenty more. A super guide and a lovely guy. Strongly recommended.

Jose took the two of us on a birdwatching tour, and we didn't stay at the accommodation. He was friendly, easy to talk to, spoke very good English and drove safely. We followed a route between Caceres and Trujillo, stopping often to look for birds of the plains. It was a very early season because of the drought, but we still got lucky with great bustard, little bustard, Spanish Imperial Eagle, sand grouse and many other species. Jose clearly knew the best places to take us. I'd definitely recommend him and come back for another tour.

We ended the morning east of Cáceres with a long bird list, including many difficult target species I wouldn't have managed to see on my own. Jose guided me for the full morning, was punctual and professional throughout, and got many birds into close scope view. He also knows a lot about the area's local culture and history. Thanks, Jose!
