Caléndula was such a good dinner recommendation that we went back twice. The staff also lent us beach towels and an umbrella, and our room was cleaned every day and kept very clean. The hotel is only steps from the ocean, and we’ll definitely stay here again next time we’re in Torremolinos. A couple of small things to know: the stairs to the rooms are narrow, as is common in Europe, and there wasn’t much space to sit on the toilet before your knees touched the wall. Neither was a big deal for us.

It’s a short walk to everything we needed, with a supermarket beside the hotel and the beach right there. Restaurants are close by too, as are the stairs up to the town centre. We stayed in a small second-floor studio with an ocean view. The room and balcony were compact, but that view was amazing. There’s no elevator, so be ready to climb the stairs. It was fine for us, though anyone with mobility issues may want to avoid the top floors. Pedro greeted us and was fantastic: helpful, funny, and great at explaining the town. His restaurant tips were spot on. The room was clean, the beds were comfortable, and the small kitchen had everything we needed. We got exactly the kind of stay we’d hoped for, and we’re already planning to come back next year.
