The room we had suited us well, though rooms do vary. We were offered cleaning twice during the week, even though we didn’t need it. There was plenty of hot water. The kitchen has enough for the basics, but I’m not sure I’d want to self-cater for a whole week with such limited equipment. Also, the artificial grass on the terrace gets very hot underfoot, so keep that in mind if you have children.

Carihuela beach is extremely close, with lots of restaurants nearby, including an Indian one. The apartment is right by the beach, so you get a lovely sea view and a nice evening atmosphere along the promenade. Inside, it was spotless, the mattress was comfortable, and there was a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster and TV. Alberto met us with the keys and explained the room, which made check-in easy. The only drawback is that there’s no lift, but the stairs are fine if you don’t mind them. We had a very pleasant stay and would happily return to Torremolinos.

The apartment was modern and in a fabulous spot. We’d reserved a double bed, though, and ended up with two singles. Not ideal for a Valentine’s weekend away!

The place was extremely dirty. There was thick mildew and a bad smell in the toilet and bath, which felt hazardous to our health. The windows were broken and wouldn’t open, there were shoe marks on the walls, and the kitchen area was dirty too. They knew how unclean our room was and noticed it, but just turned a blind eye.

Our rooms and balcony opened straight onto the beach, and the location was great. The staff gave really good service. We’d definitely come again 🏌🏻♂️⛳️🏌🏻♂️⛳️💥🥳
