BLUESEA Dimona Suites

We had a great New Year’s Eve in the end, thanks to the reception staff giving us all-inclusive after we explained what had gone wrong. We made the most of it and had an amazing night. They were apologetic and helpful, and we’d still recommend Dimona Suites. The problems we ran into felt like a one-off. My partner and I booked a room only for four nights over New Year. We were annoyed by several issues when we arrived, and when we finally got into the room at 10:30pm there was no kettle and the TV didn’t work. Then, on day three, another thing went wrong. We told a different receptionist about everything, and they were shocked by what we’d experienced. The beach is about a five-minute walk away, with bike and car hire nearby. Shops stay open late, so there are still places open in low season. There’s also a beach café called The Seaside that serves a great English breakfast, which helped with the free hangover.

The room and location are good, and the hotel is close to the bus stop, coffee shops, restaurants, and even a cannabis social club. I had a balcony facing the main road, though, and the thin walls let in every passing car, nearby conversation, hallway footsteps, and even alarm bells in the morning. My friend slept fine, so people may react differently to the noise. I’m easily woken and couldn’t sleep through it. I probably got two hours at most each night for four days, so I wouldn’t return. Keep that in mind if noise bothers you.

The studio had everything I needed, and parking was easy. In winter, there aren’t many nearby bars or restaurants. The main part of town is a fairly long walk, about 20-30 minutes, though there’s a bus stop close by. I found more places across the main road near the beach, but options were limited at that time of year.

The apartment is fresh, new, and spacious, and the staff are really helpful and nice. It’s on a busy road, so you do hear traffic, but lowering the shutter helps. We’re really happy with the place!
