The room was perfectly clean, and the hosts were so helpful. Reception service from pedro was fabulously nice, and you get a 24-hour number to call if you need anything. Restaurants and bars are nearby, but the windows keep the street noise out. It’s a really great location, 3 minutes’ walk to the beach and 10 minutes to the train station.

I had trouble with my booking: four payments were declined across two different valid credit cards. Booking through the hostal website is cheaper, and that’s the way to do it. Self-check-in with number codes and no receptionist was complicated, but staff were on call late at night and very helpful. The room itself was fine, and for the price this is a basic hostal with TV and WI-FI in the town center. It doesn’t claim to be anything more. The street was noisy all night, and traffic lights lit up the room, so light sleepers should ask for a quieter room when booking. I’d return for a basic one or two night stay.

The room was very dirty, and the smell from the bed made it seem like it hadn’t been cleaned. The management was super bad. We threw away empty cigarette rolling papers before checking out, and they assumed we’d smoked in the room, even though no one would want to smoke in a room that already smelled. They charged us an extra 20€. Expensive for nothing, and this hostal will ruin a nice time in Torremolinos.

My agent told me the Hostal had declined my card, and then my booking was cancelled. This was for an October 2023 stay, five months away. I’d used the same card online just a few days earlier to book tickets, with exactly the same details, and the payment went through. I gave the Hostal a different card from another bank, but still got a cancellation message. Within seconds of receiving it, I tried to book again. The room was unavailable and still is. My agent said I had 24 hours. I don’t trust the Hostal. If you’re looking for cheap accommodation, keep this in mind. I’ve booked elsewhere now.
