Hotel Ritual Torremolinos

The rooms were old, dated and poorly maintained, but the most frightening part of my stay was having money and card details taken. I left my card in the room, and €50 disappeared. My card details were also compromised. When I reported it at reception, I was told it wasn’t their problem and that the hotel had no cameras. That response was shocking when guests are supposed to feel safe. This was an awful experience, and I absolutely do not recommend staying here.

This was my second stay, but the hotel didn’t meet expectations, particularly for a winter visit. The bars were all closed, and the spa facilities were disappointing, with nothing seeming to work properly. Our room was tired and badly maintained, with a broken shower head and no smart TV, which surprised me for this kind of hotel. We arrived on New Year’s Eve, when it seemed more focused on preparing for a private party than looking after guests. The reception staff weren’t very friendly when we arrived, which set a disappointing tone. I wouldn’t recommend it for a winter stay.

The evening meal was good, but breakfast was dull, with little choice, and the food that was meant to be warm was cold. The rooms were very dusty and needed more care. On December 25, the people next door argued, screamed and banged all night. I phoned reception and nothing happened. When I complained in person, the woman said we hadn’t called back, so she assumed everything was fine. Really poor care. The same woman told us not to get comfortable on a sofa on our departure day. You chose to work those days, darling, get a grip, you miserable cow. Maybe these are little things, but for what we paid, I expected better. Wouldn’t recommend it.

I had a nice time here. The poolside atmosphere was chilled and relaxed. There’s a barber shop at the hotel, and you can book with a QR code. My room also had a shaving kit, a nice little touch. I’ll definitely come back.
