Hotel Ritual Sireno Torremolinos - Adults Only

The pool was lovely, breakfast was great, and the staff were nice enough. For the price, the place is okay, but two big problems got in the way. There was no safe in the room or at reception. When I raised it, the receptionist said theft wouldn’t happen because they have CCTV. That didn’t reassure me at all. Check-in was the other issue. They wouldn’t give out rooms as they became ready, so everyone had to wait until 3pm. A huge line formed, and then the receptionist took ages explaining every hotel feature to each guest. I waited an hour from 3pm for my room. It felt pointless and frustrating. Sort out the safe and the check-in process and this could be a winner, winner, chicken dinner x

The pool area was fab, with bright decor and a funky look. Our bed was really comfy, and the room had a balcony, fridge, and facilities for making tea and coffee. The staff were welcoming and friendly. Maybe they rushed to open, as the bathroom door wasn’t fully varnished. One small suggestion, move the mirror from the hall into the room, where there isn’t enough light.

The location is great, and the staff were nice. The rooms were very basic and a bit gaudy, though perfectly clean. A hairdryer and an iron in the room would help, but I guess it’s a budget hotel. I wouldn’t stay again if I had a choice.

The staff across reception, housekeeping, and the restaurant were all super friendly and made my stay more enjoyable. The location is ideal for central Torremolinos, with the beach under a 15-minute walk and everything else even nearer. I’d strongly recommend it when the prices are attractive. My main gripe is the breakfast. After a few days, I kept seeing the same food brought out, including items that had gone off or past their best. Some cheese had mould on it, which was really off-putting. The cooked-to-order eggs were a good option, but otherwise I wouldn’t pay extra for breakfast unless it was included. I moved to a renovated room after arriving. Those rooms are clean and comfortable, with excellent showers, though they still need some upkeep, like repainting and floor repairs. The rooms that haven’t been renovated are decent too, but I’m not sure how to make sure you book one that has. Hairdryers and irons are available at reception. Overall, it still feels modern and stylish, though not perfect. The hotel is good value for its budget to mid-range price and deserves a top rating compared with other hotels. There’s a lovely communal lounge overlooking the main street, a great rooftop pool area with a bar and restaurant, a small but fine gym, and excellent Wi-Fi throughout. It’s “Ritual friendly”, so guests can use the pool and spa at the Ritual hotel, about a 10-minute walk away. That’s the main ‘gay hotel’ in Torremolinos. Hotel Sireno sits somewhere between being a gay hotel and not, so whatever your preference, you shouldn’t feel uncomfortable.
