Joy Beach B&B

The staff were really nice and accommodating, and the room was clean and cosy. It’s a great base for a beach holiday, with lots of restaurants nearby and only a minute’s walk to the beach. A very pleasant stay, with nothing I can really complain about.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the bathroom was clean, and the water pressure was fine. Breakfast was simple, just coffee, toast, cold cuts, jam and juice. The location was perfect, with the beach around the corner. Sleeping was another matter. There was no air movement in our ground-floor room, which had windows onto the patio, and no fan or air conditioning. The simple foam mattress made the bed warm too. We brought a table fan but still sweated all night. Maybe an upper floor would have been better, but they were fully booked. Parking was difficult, so drop your things off first and then look for a spot, which might be several blocks away. We won’t come back until they install air conditioning or ceiling fans. Torremolinos in summer is too hot and humid to sleep well without them, unless there’s a good breeze.

The place was really clean, and the lovely owners made it feel like home. Such a great atmosphere, and the B&B is just a minute from the beach. Already can’t wait to go back!

The hotel is closed at the moment, and I’m due to stay there, though I can’t travel to Spain with my British passport. I asked for a refund, but they’ve ignored my emails, calls and messages. They charged me for a service they can’t provide and won’t return the money. Avoid.
