Medplaya Hotel Pez Espada

The food was good, with options for different tastes, and the staff were helpful. The cleaning staff were particularly friendly and did a great job. Carmen in the dining room was great too, along with others whose names I didn’t catch. We liked the hotel and its location, and the view from our room was good. Our classic room was okay, but the balcony was inadequate and had pigeons living there. If we’d known about the balcony, we would have booked a different grade of room. I’d definitely return, but I’d choose a better room and would want to see the balcony first.

The one thing we missed was a shower room after checkout. Our flight wasn’t until late evening, so changing in the luggage room was awkward, and there wasn’t an option to pay to keep the room. Still, we had a great two-night stay and will certainly come back. We went for my husband’s birthday and booked a superior sea-view room. It was excellent, with a gorgeous view, a huge and very comfortable bed, great pillows, and all the extras. A bottle of fizz and a cake arrived as a lovely birthday surprise. The hotel is spotlessly clean and in a perfect spot between Benalmedena marina and Torremolinos. Breakfast was varied and good. There were plenty of loungers by the pool, though we spent most of our time at the relaxed beach bars across the promenade. There are lots to choose from, as well as lovely restaurants in the back streets. The beaches are pretty, with palm trees, and the sea had fun waves.

We love this hotel and have stayed three times already. It’s beautiful and in a perfect location, with great food and lovely staff. Faly is a real credit to the hotel. We had a great family holiday and will definitely be back.

We really like this part of Torremolinos, and our first stay at the body Pez Espada Hotel impressed us. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and housekeeping kept our spacious room and huge bed very clean. It feels peaceful and almost empty until breakfast, when it gets a bit busy. There’s a great selection at breakfast to suit everyone. Drinks are well priced, and the evening entertainment is there, though it can be hit or miss. We’ll probably come back next year.
